Operated by Weikert Iron & Metal Recycling. This program disposes of old appliances and residentially generated tires, with rims removed, at no charge to residents. Please CALL (877)934-5378 FOR RESPONSIBLE DISPOSAL INFORMATION AND TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, OR VISIT THEIR WEBSITE AT https://www.weikertrecycling.net/pick-up-request TO SUBMIT A PICK UP REQUEST.
LIMIT: FOUR APPLIANCES PER HOUSEHOLD PER YEAR.
LIMIT: TEN TIRES PER HOUSEHOLD PER YEAR.
Acceptable items: Refrigerators, ranges, water heaters, freezers, air conditioners, humidifiers, stoves, clothes dryers, dehumidifiers, ovens, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water coolers, heat pumps, chillers, furnaces, boilers, and microwave ovens.
NOTE: Appliances may also be referred to as White Goods.
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS: TV's, hand held appliances, VCR's, business equipment, computers.
FOR ELECTRONICS DISPOSAL:
There are no disposal fees and no appointment is needed to take e-waste materials to the Waste Commission Electronics Recovery Center, which is located at 5650 Carey Avenue, Davenport, IA. Phone number: (563) 823-0119.
FREE to all residents of Rock Island County.
Hours of Operation
Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Open 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. year round the first Saturday of every month

Residents can drop off old eyeglasses at the Cordova Township office entrance located at the side door of Civic Center. Give someone the gift of sight.

If a resident is needing bulk waste pick up they can call 1-563-3232-0050 and Republic will be able to help you. This service will be billed to the resident and be separate then the Villages garbage/recycle. Make sure to ask them the cost before proceeding as you'll be responsible for the charges.
